ABOUT PETER TIERNEY – YOUR FRACTIONAL EXPORT DIRECTOR

Peter Tierney brings over 25 years of experience in exporting US products and services for US companies. Peter has exported a wide range of US-made products and services including IT products, water treatment systems, outdoor power equipment, integrated chips, software services, renewable energy equipment, roofing, food products, and power electronics.
Peter developed his export skills at two of the top exporters in the world. At Mitsui & Co., a Japanese export trading company with annual revenues of $180 Billion, Peter was trained to be an international trade expert in cross border logistics, trade finance, international commercial documents, marine insurance, Letters of Credit and global distributor and agent agreements. While at Mitsui, Mr. Tierney won the top “Global Supplier Award” for developing Dell Computer’s global supply chain. Mr. Tierney created and grew this Dell business from $200k to $28 million in 30 months. For this SCM business, he built and managed a complex global supply chain for Dell factories in the USA, Mexico, Ireland, Hungary, Malaysia, Thailand and China.
At Dorian Drake International, one of the largest US based Export Management Companies (EMC), Mr. Tierney handled exports of a diversified product set to countries throughout Asia and the Pacific Rim.
At World Technology Corp., Peter developed exports of US-made renewable energy equipment and electrical transformers to 45 countries.
Mr. Tierney holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Michigan and has been a featured speaker on exporting for Goldman Sachs, MasterCard, International Trade Administration (ITA), US Small Business Association (SBA), US Export Import Bank (EXIM), the US Federal Reserve, New York Public Library, Beyonce’s Beygood Foundation and Thomson Reuters.
