World Technology Supports UNOPS Solar Power Roofs of St. Jude Hospital Reconstruction Project in St. Lucia – 71.613kWP DC
St. Jude Hospital, St. Lucia. – January 23rd, 2017 – World Technology Corporation (World Tech), a preferred supplier of capital equipment for commercial and utility-scale solar systems, announced today that it has successfully supplied a custom designed solar mounting system from IronRidge to hold solar panels to the standing seam metal roofs of St. Jude Hospital, in St. Lucia Lucia.
On September 9th, 2009 a fire destroyed the St. Jude Hospital in Vieux Fort, the major medical supply institution in St. Lucia’s south. With funds from the Government of St. Lucia and donations from various sources, the hospital is being reconstructed and at the same time modernized and geared towards keeping operation cost low. The project is being spearheaded by UNOPS, acting as the forward operationational arm of the United Nations.
“World Technology is proud to support the efforts of St. Jude Hospital, and to contribute to the growing use of renewables for Agriculture, Aid and Development, Disaster Response and Emergency Preparedness, Hospitality and Tourism. We are also proud to take the customer from their initial design to the final delivery and installation and utilization of our 100% Made in USA Products,” notes World Technology Corporation.
It is noted that the system will contribute to over 209,110kW of solar generated electricity for consumption by St. Jude Hospital.
